The position of Russia and Turkey in the changing geopolitics of the South Caucasus

Abstract
This article aims to examine the recent political and geopolitical developments in the South Caucasus after the Second Nagorno-Karabakh War in the current context of transition in the international system to explain the role of Russia and Turkey in relations in the South Caucasus. The events of November 2020 in the Nagorno-Karabakh region have created a new state of relations among the actors; Lose in the region and be intimidated by changes and changes in the security structure of the South Caucasus region. Without the intervention of Western powers, Moscow and Ankara are showing the upper hand in determining the direction of political and geopolitical developments in the South Caucasus region. Ankara is now at the center of developments in the South Caucasus region. O that the South Caucasus has a long heritage and Therefore, its prioritization in Turkish foreign policy has provided the Russians with sensitivity to any movement on the part of Turkey, a region that the Russian political elite has long regarded as its sphere of influence. From the theoretical framework of regional security, following a systematic understanding of the relations between regional actors and Russia and Turkey in shaping the geopolitical changes in the South Caucasus region, seeks to answer the question of what effect the nature of Russia-Turkey relations on security and geopolitical arrangements in the South Caucasus. Based on this, the main idea is that fragility in relations and conflict of interests of regional and supra-regional powers such as Russia and Turkey can contribute to geopolitical frictions and security challenges in the region and the path to peace and prosperity. It complicates security. Therefore, understanding the pattern of friendship and enmity and security-making categories in shaping the security structure of the region depends on understanding the security dynamics of the South Caucasus region.
