Due to population growth and development process, one of the problems that will challenge the relations between governments and nations is the lack of water resources; It will face more water crises. Any country with richer water resources; In regional hydropolitical and geopolitical relations, it will have a deeper influence. Some geopoliticians see the 20th century as a hydropolitical century and believe that most of the world's regional conflicts and wars will be due to water shortages. Given the number of large dams in the region, political and security instability in the shared catchment areas and the construction of large and harmful dam projects in the shadow of these crises is a hydropolitical issue that poses both a threat and an opportunity for West Asian countries. In other words, a country in a lower position is threatened by a country above. National security is directly related to development and territorial justice. Establishing social justice and equitable distribution of the fruits of national development can greatly contribute to the establishment and maintenance of national security. This research tries to study the hydropolitical role of the east of the country, opportunities and challenges and its impact on the national security of the country with a descriptive-analytical approach using library studies.
